Ian Billen's profile

Rubber Ducky Day (66)

This image was captured by Ian Billen during the onset of the late evening hours one icy winters day in the midwestern portion of North America. The visual was conceived from the exact position, and in the very same eyeshot after an extended gaze taken on this gone to seed setting.

Derived from another unauthorized solo shoot and taking place on a property of deserted industrialized structures, in which all were far removed from the declining community. This aspect contributed to a strange vacuum like silence when visiting this room in one of the buildings. The smell of rotting cardboard, aged piping, and the warm rays of sunlight filled each nostril in this otherwise bitter cold atmosphere.

A symbol of naive innocence in a child's tub toy along with the supernatural-like golden glow from the late sun are two elements apart from this mostly decrepit asylum. Rubber Ducky Day appears 'sus' in more ways than one.
